The Iroquois like to build longhouses. They made them out of elm bark, tree trunks, and deer skin. Thirty or more people lived in a longhouse together.
The Iroquois lived in New York State. Women made clothes for the family. The clothes were made from deer and buffalo skin.
You are supposed to shoot a buffalo for the first time at the age of ten. They have harvest festivals by singing, dancing, and playing games. They wear face paint that they use to scare away evil spirits. Iroquois tribes celebrated many festivals throughout the year.

Iroquois children played with corn husk dolls. They did not put faces on the dolls because they thought the great spirit would get angry. Another fact is that the Iroquois’ name is actually called Haudenosaunee.
